The Bay Zinc Company has been in the zinc sulfate business manufacturing under their registered BLU-MINŽ label for over 40 years.
The Bay Zinc Company is located in Central Washington State in the city of Moxee and is owned by Richard J. Camp. The company was founded by Richard Camp Sr. and his wife Marjorie in 1954 to manufacture and market zinc micronutrient fertilizer. The original market territory was the fruit-growing region of Washington State.
By the early 1980's, BLU-MIN zinc products enjoyed the largest market share of all zinc fertilizer used in the Pacific Northwest. Expansion into California was first, and soon after in the Midwest, Canada, Australia, Mexico and the Pacific Rim. By the early 1990's, some volume of BLU-MIN zinc was used in most states west of the Mississippi River.
The success of the company during the past 20 years can be attributed to the efforts of our experienced and dedicated staff, and the company commitment to provide superior products and reliable service to our customers at competitive prices. Recent changes in the market place, and the need for additional tonnage, spurred the construction of a new facility. The new plant, completed in 1999, manufacturers liquid and dry zinc sulfate monohydrate products of the highest purity and quality.
